Obama to Address UN General Assembly Wednesday
The president will present his first speech to the Assembly on Wednesday.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – President Barack Obama is set to deliver a speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the address will be the president’s first speech to the forum in which he is expected to focus on issues such as nuclear weapons, global warming, and economic development.
Obama is quoted by the AP as stating while speaking to the Clinton Global Initiative at an annual meeting on Tuesday, in what has been deemed by some to be a foretelling of his speech focus, “Just as no nation can wall itself off from the world, no one nation — no matter how large, no matter how powerful — can meet these challenges alone.”
