TLC Plans Changes for Gosselin Reality Program

The show will be renamed to adapt to changes in the couple’s relationship.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – TLC is reportedly planning changes for one of their most recognized reality programs Jon and Kate Plus 8. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the show will be renamed “Kate Plus Eight” in accordance with major changes within the family’s household, namely the break up of Jon and Kate Gosselin.
Eileen O’Neill, president and general manager of the TLC network, is quoted by the AP as stating of the changes, “It’s not a huge shift, but it’s reflective of where the show was already going.” Jon will still reportedly maintain a small role in the program.
O’Neill is further quoted as stating, “I think there’s an opportunity for Kate beyond her role as a supermom to explore her other interests.”
The new series is reportedly set to begin Nov. 2.
