Former Fiance of Atlanta ‘Housewives’ Star Dies
The ex-fiance of singer/songwriter Kandi Burruss died Friday after a club altercation.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – The former fiance of singer, songwriter, and reality star Kandi Burruss has died after an altercation at a nightclub Friday. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Ashley “A.J.” Jewell, who appeared with Burruss on the hit Bravo reality program “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” suffered massive head trauma during a fight outside of a gentleman’s club he worked for. Jewell and Burruss reportedly ended their engagement in August.
Burruss, a former member of the R&B groub Xscape, who has written songs for artists such as Alicia Keys, Destiny’s Child, and TLC, is quoted by the AP as posting of Jewell’s death on her Twitter page, “im just in one of those moods where i dont wanna talk, i dont wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. i just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone… I could never n a million years imagine this happening. please pray for AJ’s children.”
As noted in the report, Burruss is currently guardian to Jewell’s twin daughters.
