Study finds cell phone link to brain tumors
A new study suggests cell phones may be connected to the development of brain tumors.
U.S. (WiredPRNews.com) – A new study suggests a possible link may exist between cell phones and brain tumors. As reported by HealthDay News, recent research has found that some evidence from previous studies has shown there may be health risks associated with the use of cell phones; however, there has yet to be a definitive conclusion about the extent.
Dr. Deepa Subramaniam, director of the Brain Tumor Center at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington, D.C., is quoted in the report as stating of the findings, “We cannot make any definitive conclusions about this… But this study, in addition to all the previous studies, continues to leave lingering doubt as to the potential for increased risk. So, one more time, after all these years, we don’t have a clear-cut answer.”
More information about the study may be found in the Journal of Clinical Oncology online.
