Redmond, Washington (WiredPRNews.com) – Microsoft is reportedly optimistic that the launch of the new edition of Windows will prompt more PC and software sales. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the company launched Windows 7 Thursday, which some see as an opportunity for Microsoft to revive its brand.
Mike Naramor, operator of consulting business My Computer Guy, who waited in line at a Washington based Frys computer store for the early purchase of Windows 7, is quoted by the AP as stating of his enthusiasm about the new software, “We’re geeks, that’s what geeks do… This is our excitement.” Naramor is further quoted as stating of his plans for learning how to use Windows 7, “Vista took me about 72 hours… I expect this to take me 20 minutes.”
