Bristol, Connecticut (WiredPRNews.com) – Baseball analyst Steve Phillips and the production assistant he recently admitted to having an affair with have both been fired from ESPN. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), a spokesperson for the network stated Monday that Brooke Hundley, 22, had been terminated in addition to Phillips amid news of their affair.
As noted by the AP, a representative for Phillips, Steve Lefkowitz, has stated the former ESPN analyst has entered a treatment facility to deal with personal issues. Lefkowitz is quoted in the report as stating, “Steve Phillips is not a sleazebag. He’s a good guy who just fell off the wagon… Whatever he did wrong, it wasn’t under his control or he wouldn’t be checking himself in for help. He knows he needs help and wants a life with his family — that is paramount to him above everything else.”
