The “Little Miss Sunshine” star will reportedly play Helen Keller in a Broadway production.
New York (WiredPRNews.com) – Teenage film actress Abigail Breslin is reportedly set to star on Broadway. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the 13 year-old star, who had a break out role in “Little Miss Sunshine” in 2006, is set to play Helen Keller in new stage production of “The Miracle Worker.”
Breslin is quoted by the AP as stating of her new role, “I am so honored… It’s like the biggest thing in the world. … I have read the biography of Helen Keller. So I’ve always known the story, and it’s always been something I wanted to play.”
Breslin is further quoted as remarking in an interview, “Helen is a hero of mine — for so many reasons. She never gave up on herself and she had so many people who believed in her like her teacher Annie Sullivan.”
