Fans gather for Jackson movie premiere
The highly anticipated concert film premiered for moviegoers worldwide Tuesday.
Los Angeles (WiredPRNews.com) – The highly anticipated concert film “This is It” premiered worldwide on Tuesday. As reported by Reuters, hundreds of fans gathered in Los Angeles for the film, which shows footage from the final days of Michael Jackson’s life during rehearsals for his concert with the same title.
Director Kenny Ortega is quoted by Reuters as stating of the film, “It’s a privileged path to observe Michael as the creative architect and mastermind behind his work.” Ortega further remarked that the film was, “a unique behind-the-scenes look at the creative process of putting a show together” and “a story of a master of [Jackson’s] craft.”
Jackson died on June 25, shortly before his concert was set to begin. The film will reportedly run for two weeks.
