Charlotte Henningsen To Be Inducted As President Of The SDMS

 Orlando, FL – (WiredPRNews.com) Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences (FHCHS) is pleased to announce that Charlotte Henningsen, MS, RT, RDMS, RVT, FSDMS, Chair of the Department of diagnostic medical sonography will be inducted as the new president of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography at the organization’s annual conference October 15-18, 2009 in Nashville, TN.

Professor Henningsen has taught in the Department of Diagnostic Medical Sonography at FHCHS for sixteen years, and has more than twenty years’ experience as a professional diagnostic medical sonographer. Along with her teaching responsibilities, she also practices diagnostic medical sonography in a clinical setting for high-risk obstetrical patients.

Professor Henningsen currently serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Society for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and has authored several articles published in the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She has also has written several chapters in textbooks, and is the author of the Clinical Guide to Ultrasonography.

Professor Henningsen is active in the advancement of the field of diagnostic medical sonography and serves as the Chair of the National Education Curriculum Task Force; is a site visitor for the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS), and is a member of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Exam Development Task Force as a subject matter expert in neurosonology.
