Kidman and Paltrow team up to play married couple
The female stars are set to play husband and wife in a new film.
Hollywood (WiredPRNews.com) – Hollywood A-list stars Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow are set to play husband and wife in a new film. As reported by Show Biz Spy, the two will star in “The Danish Girl,” which is adapted from a novel about the first person to receive male to female gender reassignment surgery, Einar Wegener, who later took the name Lili Elbe.
As noted by Show Biz Spy, Paltrow’s role as Wegener’s wife, Greta, was originally set to be played by Charlize Theron, who dropped out of the project. The film will reportedly be directed by Anand Turker. Kidman is quoted in the report as stating of her film choices, “In the end I hope my life will be a mix of extreme love and bold artistic choices… I’ve never wanted to be safe. I’ve never chosen safe relationships. And I’ve never chosen safe films.”
