New York (WiredPRNews.com) – Actress Katey Sagal recently discussed her role on the popular FX series “Sons of Anarchy.” As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Sagal expressed contentment with her role as a motorcycle gang matriarch on the TV drama, which is nearing the end of its first season.
Sagal is quoted by the AP as stating of her complex character Gemma, who is the wife of the president of a havoc wreaking motorcycle club, “This season I had to keep asking myself, ‘Who IS she, vulnerable?’… I had to trust that people are multifaceted, that everybody has different colors. But week by week, I was having to check: ‘Where am I with this character?”
Sagal is further quoted as stating of the show, which was created by her writer-producer husband, Kurt Sutter, during it’s initial production stages, “I knew it was going to be dark and violent, and I was up for that… I spent many, many, many years doing a different kind of thing, and I was ready for a change, so ‘Bring it on!’ was what I felt like.”
Sagal is most recognized for her role in the comedy sitcom “Married with Children,” which ran for 11 seasons.
