U.S. (WiredPRNews.com) – A strong turnout for Black Friday has left many retailers feeling more hopeful for the holiday shopping season. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the early numbers for shopping crowds during the after Thanksgiving sales day reveal that peoples’ buying attitudes may be changing, which is encouraging for retailers during their most important sales period of the year.
Ernest Bell of Marietta, Ga. is quoted by the AP as stating of taking advantage of current store discounts, “With the layoff there have been a few cutbacks, but with the great sales they’re offering this year, I think it’s, overall, going to be a great Christmas for my two granddaughters.”
As noted in the report, early data suggests this year’s Black Friday may have produced a larger turnout that last year.
