The “Britain’s Got Talent” star makes history with her album debut.

As reported by Reuters, the Scottish singer’s “I Dreamed a Dream” had the highest sales numbers for a debut album ever in UK chart history according to the Officials Charts Company.
Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official Charts Company, is quoted by Reuters as stating of Boyle’s accomplishment, “Susan Boyle’s achievement is quite phenomenal… After all of the excitement surrounding her appearance on ‘Britain’s Got Talent,’ everyone expected her to make a big impact when she released her first music — but to arrive with such a bang is exceptional.”
As noted in the report, Boyle’s album is anticipated to rank number one in the U.S., Canada, and New Zealand as well.
