Local students bid for new award
ACF car finance Limited is to join forces with City College Birmingham to launch their ‘Outstanding Business Student Award’ to encourage and support budding business talent throughout Birmingham.
The UK’s leading specialist sub-prime car dealer operates its flagship branch in Willenhall, near Walsall.
Students on the Btec National Award for Business Studies and Btec Higher National Diploma in Business Studies at the City College have been invited to demonstrate a range of skills and reflect ACF Car Finance’s commitment to training, fair business practice and value.
They will be assessed by course tutors and the winning student awarded the prestigious ACF Car Finance Outstanding Business Student Award, plus £500 worth of PC World vouchers.
“Effective training and development underpin the ACF Car Finance approach to business and is vital for individuals to succeed in the business world” said Birmingham Branch Manager of 8 years, Stuart Brotherton.
“We are delighted to work with City College and hope that this new award will encourage today’s students to excel. We look forward to congratulating the winner in December.”
City College Course Tutor John McFarlane comments: “More students are facing financial difficulties than ever before so we are delighted that a local firm is offering financial support for the business students of Birmingham.
“Taking part in a competition like this is a great opportunity for the students to demonstrate their commitment to learning and show off their skills as future entrepreneurs and employable talent.”
ACF Car Finance specialises in providing a wide range of quality used cars and arranging car finance or car credit for customers throughout the
region. The company is hoping to run the competition with other colleges across the country, in partnership with its other branches in Leeds, Manchester, East Midlands, Bristol, Dunstable, Maidstone and Isleworth.
