December prime time to make car purchase
Analysts say December is the best time for purchasing a new vehicle.
U.S. (WiredPRNews.com) – Holiday spending is currently at the top of most people’s purchasing lists, however, for those in the market for a new vehicle it may be a good time to consider adding it to the list as well. As reported by U.S. News Rankings and Reviews, December is deemed an ideal time for buying a car for the cheapest rates of the year.
Jesse Toprak, TrueCar.com vice president of Trends and Insights, is quoted by the AP as stating of the company’s findings after analyzing pricing trends of the past three years, “The average discount in December is around 6.5 percent off MSRP, compared to 4.5 percent in a typical month.”
Toprak is further quoted as stating of the auto industry adage, “the end of the week, the end of the month, and the end of the year” being the best times for making a purchase, “Statistically speaking… that actually turns out to be the case.”
