Dallas campuses ranked among worst
Forty-eight campuses in the Dallas school district have been ranked among the worst in the state of Texas.
Dallas, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – Several Dallas Independent School District campuses have been placed on the Texas Education Agency’s list of the worst public schools in the state of Texas. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, 48 campuses in the district were included on the list, which is the highest number out of 500 campuses in the state.
As noted in the report, the schools were chosen based on low test scores and unacceptable TEA ratings. Students who attend the schools on the list are eligible for a transfer, however, officials state that only a small percentage will actually do so due to obstacles such as a lack of transportation. Eligible students will be allowed to transfer next fall.
