A new video game helps students learn money management.
Albany, New York (WiredPRNews.com) – A new video game is set to be used to teach students in New York tools for effective money management. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), “Financial Football” will be released on Tuesday by New York Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli to provide students with a more interesting means of learning to manage their money.
DiNapoli is quoted by the AP as stating of the game, “Financial Football’ is a great way to get students interested in personal finances and give them a financial playbook they can use for the rest of their lives.” The game reportedly implements NFL rules, and allows students to score points by giving correct answers to questions.
As noted in the report, the game will be made accessible to high school students statewide within schools and online.
