Actress dies of cardiac arrest at 32
Brittany Murphy passed away Sunday in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles, CA (WiredPRNews.com) – Actress Brittany Murphy has died. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the 32 year-old, who starred in films such as “Clueless” and “Girl, Interrupted” passed away Sunday in Los Angeles due to cardiac arrest.
Murphy was married to British screenwriter Simon Monjack. Murphy’s publicist, Nicole Perna, is quoted by the AP as stating, “In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy.”
Murphy is quoted in the report as once previously stating of her mother Sharon’s contribution to her success, “When I asked my mom to move to California, she sold everything and moved out here for me… I was really grateful to have grown up in an environment that was conducive to creating and didn’t stifle any of that. She always believed in me.”
