Oscar winning actress Jennifer Jones has died at the age of 90.
Los Angeles (WiredPRNews.com) – Oscar winning actress Jennifer Jones has passed away at the age of 90. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the screen legend died at her Malibu home on Thursday, according to a spokesperson for the Norton Simon Museum. Jones was the widow of Norton Simon, who founded the museum.
Jones, who won an Academy Award in 1943 for her role in “The Song of Bernadette” was a five time Oscar nominee, and starred in films such as “Love Letters,” “Love is a Many Splendored Thing,” “The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit,” and “Duel in the Sun.” The actress and Tulsa, Oklahoma native also had notable roles in several other films, becoming one of most acclaimed actresses of the 1940s and 1950s.
