Health care bill finalization steps begin
Democrats have reportedly begun working on finalizing monumental health care legislation.
Washington, D.C. (WiredPRNews.com) – Democrats in Congress have reportedly begun working on finalizing a bill designed to overall the health care system. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Democrats along with President Barack Obama began work Tuesday to create a final bill from those passed by the House and Senate before the holidays.
As noted in the report, multiple differences exist between the bills including provisions regarding abortion and the controversial public option.
Rep. John Larson, D-Conn. is quoted by the AP as stating of the effort before a meeting with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and others, “Now is not the time to get stuck on any one point… The important thing for us now is to close ranks behind the president and get a bill done.”
