NBC seeks to boost Leno ratings
The broadcasting company stated Thursday that they were committed to boosting ratings for the night show host’s program.
New York (WiredPRNews.com) – Amid reports that Jay Leno’s new weeknight television program would be taken off of the air or moved to a late-night time slot, NBC stated that it was making an effort to boost ratings for the show. As reported by Reuters, the broadcasting company commented on the issue Thursday as speculation ensued about the issues Leno’s ratings is presenting for NBC affiliates.
NBC is quoted in the report as releasing the statement, “Jay Leno is one of the most compelling entertainers in the world today. As we have said all along, Jay’s show has performed exactly as we anticipated on the network… It has, however, presented some issues for our affiliates. Both Jay and the show are committed to working closely with them to find ways to improve the performance.”
