Dallas News: Teen arrested after crash kills three
The driver of a vehicle involved in a New Year’s Day crash has been arrested.
Denton, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – A 19 year-old driver of a car involved in an accident in Denton on New Year’s Day has been arrested in connection with the incident. As reported by the Star-Telegram, Francisco Moreira is facing aggravated assault and manslaughter charges following the accident, which left three teenagers dead and three others injured.
As noted in the report, Moreira, who was hospitalized after the accident, was allegedly driving a Ford sedan at over 100 mph in an attempt to elude a Department of Public Safety trooper. Denton teens Adrian Alvarez, 18 and Jose Ramos Jr., 16, were killed in the accident as well as Fernando Cuevas, 19, of Corinth. Tests have reportedly been conducted to determine whether alcohol was involved in the crash.
