School bus in head on collision
Six middle school students were reportedly treated for injuries following a crash early this week.
Coventry (WiredPRNews.com) – A Coventry Middle School bus was reportedly involved in a head on collision early this week. As reported by the Kent County Daily Times, six students and the driver were subsequently treated for injuries from the accident.
Augusto Gomes, the assistant principal at the Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School of Coventry, is quoted in the report as stating of the accident, “I did go to the scene and for me it was a scary looking accident, but, thankfully, most of the children were okay and even three of the students that were transported to Kent have returned to school and are doing just fine now… Obviously, many parents were concerned and we understand that, but we try to assure them that we take the children’s’ safety very seriously.”
