Recall Issued on Tylenol
A recall has been issued on Tylenol and other over the counter drug products.
New York (WiredPRNews.com) – A recall has reportedly been issued on several over the counter drug products. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Johnson and Johnson has issued a recall on specified batches of Tylenol, Motrin, Simply Sleep, and other products due to a foul smell that has purportedly made individuals ill.
As noted in the report, the recall is the second in weeks linked to the foul odor. The issue was purportedly initially reported in 2008 to Johnson & Johnson’s McNeil Consumer Healthcare Products. Deborah Autor, the director of the FDA’s Office of Compliance of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, is quoted by the AP as stating of the early complaints, “McNeil should have acted faster…When something smells bad, literally or figuratively, companies must aggressively investigate and take all necessary action to solve the problem.”
