New York, NY - Photographer and author Gene Geter loves to create. So much so that he has a clothing line intermingling American and Korean languages.

About three years ago, Geter started studying Korean after working with Korean models that inspired him in New York. He loved the look of Hangul or Hanguel (Korean language) and sought to buy Hangul T-shirts or sweatshirts, but unfortunately, Geter could only find tons of Chinese and Japanese language products. So he decided to go Hallyuwood (a word that means globalizing Korean culture) and make his own. Bold Korean phrases like Nobody Owns Me, Mad Cow No Way, Hey Human Invest In World Peace, What Up?, Bbangsang I Speak To Aliens and much more.

The clothing received so much attention that it appeared on Korean’s biggest websites, Daum, Cyworld and Hey Korean (even appearing on its main page). Because of his language studying and seeking to learn more about the culture, Geter became friends with Korean actress Ryeo-won Jeong while she was on vacation in New York. Geter also helped out a few years at New York Korean Film Festival and Korea Society’s annual dinner in which he had the chance to see South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak speak. Also at the annual dinner, he met popular Korean singer Jin Young Park (JYP) which again gave Geter attention on Daum’s website main page.

Geter sells jerseys, hoodies, spaghetti tanks, tank tops, buttons and magnets as well on his clothing website. You can find Japanese and Spanish clothing too. Check it out at http://cafepress.com/igene
