Biden cancels Dallas visit to meet with emergency workers, others

The Vice President has postponed plans to visit Dallas on Friday due to earthquake relief efforts.
Dallas, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – Vice President Joe Biden postponed plans to visit Dallas Friday. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, Biden is set to visit New Orleans, after President Barack Obama requested he meet in South Florida with Haitian-Americans and emergency workers regarding relief efforts for those in Haiti the day prior.
As noted in the report, Biden was invited by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee to headline a fundraising reception in Dallas. He was asked by the president on Thursday to meet with Haitian Americans and emergency workers in Florida who are aiding in assisting earthquake survivors. Biden will reportedly make an announcement of the latest recovery efforts for destruction left from the hurricane. The Dallas reception has reportedly been delayed until March.
