Hundreds of thousands of cribs recalled after injuries
A recall has been announced on Dorel Asia cribs following several injury reports.
Washington (WiredPRNews.com) – Hundreds of thousands of cribs have been recalled following several reports of injuries from them. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), 20 Dorel Asia crib models were recalled as announced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission on Tuesday.
As noted in the report, the 635,000 cribs that are part of the recall were sold by Wal-Mart, Sears, and other stores across the country. The recall was implemented following the death of a 6-month old and several other reports of injuries.
The Barbados-based company is quoted by the AP as stating of the injury reports, “Hundreds of thousands of Dorel Asia cribs have been properly assembled and used safely without incident… At Dorel Asia there is nothing more important than a baby’s health and safety.”
