Nine-year-old’s death labeled suicide
The death of a young boy from The Colony has been labeled a suicide.
Dallas (WiredPRNews.com) – Friends and family are mourning the loss of a 9 year-old, who apparently hanged himself at a school in The Colony. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, the fourth grader was found unconscious in a restroom at Stewart’s Creek Elementary School on Thursday.
The Colony police Lt. Darren Brockway is quoted by the Dallas Morning News as stating of the incident, “We believe this was intentional… We have some information in the method and the manner which it was done to draw that conclusion.”
Brian Bradford, a pastor at Horizons Church in The Colony, is further quoted in the report as stating of trying to understand why the young child would take his own life, “That’s the question we are asking and probably always ask… But something like this is just impossible to truly understand as far the rationale behind it.”
