Cheltenham, PA (WiredPRNews.com) – A woman reportedly crashed into a Laundromat after trying to park her vehicle. As reported by ABC 6 Action News, investigators are questioning whether a defective gas pedal was a factor in the accident, amid reports of a massive recall by automaker giant Toyota due to problems with accelerator pedals.
As noted in the report, the woman was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry and states she was attempting to put the vehicle in park at the time of the crash. The owner of the Melody Cleaners Laundromat, Lou Rizzo, is quoted in the report as stating of his gratitude that there were no injuries in the accident, “It’s a good thing it didn’t happen on a Saturday or Friday because we’re jammed here. There would have been 4 to 5 people killed.”
Authorities are reportedly still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
