Kentucky (Mesothelioma Cancer News) – A garbage company was ordered to remove asbestos left sitting in its lot for more than six months. As reported by WHAS11.com, the garbage containing asbestos has remained on “A Cheap Dumpster Company’s” lot for the extended period because the company’s owner was arrested in July, and the company subsequently went out of business.

As noted in the report, area residents have expressed complaints about the presence of the garbage, which has purportedly piled up since the owner was jailed. Matt Stull with the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board is quoted in the report as stating possible environmental concerns, “Unless we get a complaint on it, what we’re looking for is bits of insulation, stuff like that… Any materials containing asbestos is a concern because of it s link to lung cancer. So we take all of these complaints very seriously.”
