Las Vegas (WiredPRNews.com) – Authorities are investigating the circumstances of a crash into a casino in Nevada that killed two individuals and injured several others. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), investigators are continuing to investigate the crash into the Edgewater Hotel & Casino after the 70 year-old driver stated he fainted prior to the accident, not yet ruling out the possibility that the crash occurred due to a mechanical defect.
Las Vegas police Officer Jacinto Rivera is quoted in the report as stating of the investigation, “A lot of things can’t be ruled out… They’re going to look at whether mechanical was a factor. He’s claiming he fainted.”
As noted by the AP, security cameras that possibly recorded the accident are expected to be examined by police.
