An 18-wheeler stalled traffic Tuesday after flipping on a Dallas freeway.
Dallas, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – Traffic was stalled on the LBJ Freeway Tuesday after an 18-wheeler turned over near Josey Lane. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, the accident occurred in the afternoon, backing up westbound and eastbound traffic.
As noted in the report, Dallas police stated a small amount of diesel fuel was leaked from the 18-wheeler, which was transporting paper, during the crash. Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse, a spokesperson for Dallas police, is quoted in the report as stating of the spill, “Hazardous-material cleanup crews were dispatched, but officers at the scene reported no immediate risk from the spill.”
No injuries were reported from the accident. Those traveling in the area throughout the day were reportedly advised to avoid the freeway when possible.
