Numerous DFW Airport flights cancelled
Over 200 flights at DFW Airport were canceled early Friday.
Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – A number of flights at DFW Airport were canceled Friday. As reported by the Star-Telegram, over 200 cancellations occurred amid inclement weather.
David Magana, a spokesman for the airport, is quoted in the report as stating of plans throughout the day, “The good news is there is no snow right now and looks like all of the snow is out of the forecast right now… We will be able to have much better flying the rest of the day.”
As noted in the report, approximately 30 Southwest Airlines flights were cancelled at Dallas’ Love Field Friday as well. Paul Flaningan, a spokesman for Southwest, is further quoted in the report as stating, “Hopefully, by mid-afternoon, we will be back to normal operations and digging out of the snow.”
