Yahoo to team with Twitter

The company will reportedly utilize the social networking site to enhance its social features.
San Francisco (WiredPRNews.com) – Yahoo Inc. is reportedly partnering with Twitter to enhance its online services. As reported by Reuters, Yahoo announced the arrangement Tuesday, which will allow users to view “tweets” and publish Twitter messages within Yahoo’s site.
As noted in the report, Yahoo previously announced a deal with Facebook similar to the partnership with Twitter.
Yahoo Vice President of Communities Jim Stoneham is quoted by Reuters as stating of the company’s customization plans for making Twitter messages relevant to its email service, sports sites, and other properties, “We believe that the content and context side of things is very unique.”
As further noted in the report, financial terms pertaining to Yahoo’s deal with Twitter had not been disclosed at the time of the report.
