Steph Wood Leading Drills at Georgia Tech

Atlanta, GA - DNA Pro Performance, the maker of MAD Handlz debuted at The Stronger Woman’s first ever For Women By Women Skills Academy at the Georgia Tech University Basketball Center in Atlanta, GA on Sunday, February 21, 2010. Former Nike Skill Development Trainer and The Stronger Woman founder Steph Wood led the dynamic workout session with over 60 of the Southeast’s top women basketball prospects, many of which are featured in the ESPN 100. Also present at the Skills Academy was former college great and Atlanta Dream front office member, Natalie White, who sat courtside and gave an inspirational pep talk that fired up the young women.

The morning workout session was awesome! A representative from DNA Pro Performance, an official sponsor of The Stronger Woman, made an appearance with Mad Handlz at the event to give the girls some dribbling work with their phenomenal new product. “Mad Handlz delivers the most efficient assistance for ball handling, dribbling, shooting and rebounding workouts. The product works in line with your natural movements as you workout and sometimes I forget that I have them on. I recommend this product to any player, young or old,” said Steph Wood.

The Mad Handlz skill development session was seamlessly integrated into the training agenda and involved advanced, explosive, workouts using the revolutionary dribbling and training aid with instruction from Steph Wood. “Mad Handlz is a great tool that I use in all my workouts! As a Skill Development Trainer, this product really enhances what I do with my workouts and gives an added advantage to my clients. The gloves provide a natural way to build finger tip strength and hand control that is game realistic,” said Ms. Wood.

“The workouts focused on using Mad Handlz to refine and strengthen acute motor skills in the fingers, which are the gateway to ambidexterity and cross dominance when dribbling. The product was a big hit at the clinic and you can expect to see Mad Handlz involved in top basketball training programs around the globe,” saids Jay Strahorn from DNA.

Steph Wood and The Stronger Woman will be in Virginia Beach, VA March 5th - 7th where Pride USA and Pride Canada will be coming together for a weekend of team training and tryouts for Pride USA. Be on the lookout for Steph Wood and the Mad Handlz Skills Academy coming to a city near you this fall.
