FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—–KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI (WiredPRNews.com))

Legendary radio broadcaster Randy Miller has returned to the airwaves in Kansas City with his new morning show “Wake Up In KC”. The show aires live each weekday from 9am-1pm and will repeat daily from 2pm-6pm at www.kcplradio.com.

Miller’s company Brainstorm Media has partnered with New Reality Entertainment and together they will operate as New Reality Broadcasting.
“I’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to do my show the way I want to do it, and this is just about as perfect as it gets” says Miller.

The online station will eventually add a full schedule of local programming to compliment the morning show. “Randy is a legend in this business and for once he will have free reign to take the show in any direction he wants without the restraints or politics that are normally associated” says Kevin Wilkey, President of New Reality Entertainment who has partnered with Miller.

The station has leased a temporary studio from Union Broadcasting in Overland Park while it prepares to build a permanent studio somewhere in the downtown Power and Light District. “Having spent many years in Kansas City, I am proud to see that downtown is taking hold and becoming a place where people work, live, and play, so what better place to do my show than in the middle of it all” says Miller.

Kansas City is more than familiar with Randy Miller and his on-air antics. “We can hardly go to lunch without people stopping by the table to talk to Randy” says Wilkey, “and most often they have a story about a prank or stunt they remember from his previous days on the air”.

The online station will focus on the Power and Light District including the Sprint Center, Midland, Music Hall, and other performance venues located in the Mid-Town, Crossroads, and Downtown corridor, and will feature upcoming concert artist interviews, special discounted lunch and dinner offers, and information on daily activities and events taking place in Kansas City. Miller will also talk with area newsmakers, athletes, and event organizers. “This is the kind of spontaneous kick in the teeth we are not getting from current KC radio stations” says Miller, “Where did all the fun go”?

“The timing is perfect” says Wilkey, ” and the radio station will help keep people informed about great discounted opportunities for coffee, lunch, cocktails and dinner”.

The station will launch with a big scavenger hunt promotion in a partnership with Coca-Cola but the details are being kept very hush-hush at the moment. “All in due time” says Miller.

Listeners will be able to tune in to the show on at www.kcplradio.com and www.wakeupinkc.com. In addition to being able to listen to the show, the stations website will post a local concert schedule, special discount offers from downtown retailers, and daily promotional offers from the show’s sponsors.

“This is what true pirate radio is all about” says Miller, “I am so excited to be back”!
