Dallas one of worst cities for allergies

Wired PR News reports Dallas has been ranked high among cities with the highest pollen count in the nation.

The city along with Fort Worth were ranked among the nation’s worst for allergies Tuesday.

Dallas, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – The cities of Dallas and Fort Worth were ranked among the worst in the nation for allergies on Tuesday. As reported by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, both were shown to have extremely high pollen counts in accordance with data presented by www.pollen.com.

Dr. John Fling, Fort Worth allergist and University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth associate professor, is quoted in the report as stating of the information, “Certainly it is going to be a bad season, and it’s going to get much worse… April and May will be just terrible for allergies because of the rain.”

Dr. David Khan, professor of internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, is further quoted in the report as stating of the allergy season, “It’s hitting more aggressively and all at once, so a lot of people are suffering… People who are allergic to trees and grasses are in big trouble.”
