Former teen idol dies

Corey Haim died Wednesday at the age of 38.
Los Angeles (WiredPRNews.com) – Actor and former teen idol Corey Haim has died. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the “Lost Boys” star died Wednesday after being taken to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California.
Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter is quoted by the AP as stating of Haim’s symptoms before his death, which led to his mother calling the paramedics, “As he got out of bed, he felt a little weak and went down to the floor on his knees.”
Haim, whose battle with drug abuse was made public, was 38 years old. An autopsy has reportedly been planned to determine what caused his death.
Long-time friend of Haim, Corey Feldman, is quoted by the AP as stating of his death, “This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family and best friend… We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference.”
