Actress Kate Winslet and her husband of nearly 7 years have reportedly separated.

The British actress and her director husband have reportedly separated.

London (WiredPRNews.com) – British actress Kate Winslet and her director husband Sam Mendes have reportedly separated. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the law firm of the couple, who have been married since 2003, announced the separation Monday.

The Schillings firm is quoted as releasing the statement that the separation of the pair was, “entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement.”

As noted in the report, Winslet, whose stardom rose after her role in the movie “Titanic,” received an Oscar last year for the film “The Reader.” Mendes has also received an academy award for directing “American Beauty” in 1999.

Winslet and Mendes have a six-year-old son together. Winslet also has a nine-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. It had yet to be released at the time of the report whether the couple had begun divorce proceedings.
