Washington (WiredPRNews.com) – The Democrats have reportedly unveiled last minute changes to a monumental health care bill days prior to an anticipated weekend vote. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), among purported changes to the legislation are a prescription drug rebate for seniors.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is quoted by the AP as stating of the legislation, designed to provide health coverage for millions of Americans who are uninsured, “It will make history and we will make progress by passing this legislation.”
As noted in the report, support for the bill has seemed to increase, as three House Representatives who previously opposed the legislation expressed intentions on voting in favor of it. Other reported additions in the 153 pages of changes include the addition of $8 billion for 11 states.
