Dallas, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – Many are gathering in Washington, D.C. Sunday to rally for immigration reform in the country. As reported by CBS 11 News, approximately 300 individuals from North Texas are expected to join thousands of others seeking to remind President Barack Obama of reform promises made during his presidential campaign regarding immigration.
As noted in the report, the rally is set to take place on the day of the anticipated Congressional vote on sweeping health care legislation. Pastor Owen Ross of the Dallas based Christ Foundry United Methodist Mission is quoted in the report as stating of the cause, “This timing could not be better because all the Congressmen are going to be on Capitol Hill this weekend when we are… We’re going to be there to say there are other issues affecting millions and millions of people.”
