The entertainer tweets about the network’s misrepresentation of an interview that was set to be included in Palin’s special.
New York (WiredPRNews.com) – LL Cool J recently tweeted his thoughts about his inclusion in an upcoming Fox News show presented by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. As reported on The Newsroom Yahoo blog, LL Cool J has taken issue with the show “Real American Stories,” which features the “NCIS: Los Angeles” star in an interview that was purportedly represented as one given by Palin, but was actually footage of an interview conducted approximately two years prior.
The entertainer is quoted in the report as tweeting about the interview, “Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins Show. WOW.”
Fox News is further quoted as releasing the statement to Yahoo! News regarding cutting LL Cool J, whose birth name is James Todd Smith, from the special, “Real American Stories features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith’s interview fit that criteria. However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career.”
