Venture capitalists are reportedly paying attention to start-up companies of former Facebook employees.
San Francisco (WiredPRNews.com) – Venture capitalists are reportedly eyeing the start-up ventures of former Facebook employees. As reported by Reuters, the wait for possible hints of a future public offering of Facebook shares has many looking for opportunities via other avenues, such as these start-up companies, as they search for the Internet’s next big thing.
Nick Sturiale, a general partner at JAFCO Ventures, is quoted by Reuters as stating of the focus on Facebook alumni, “Any entrepreneur spinning out of Facebook is going to get attention… They’re at the vanguard of how the Web is emerging.”
As noted in the report, Facebook is deemed the number one social network online in the world, and boasts approximaltely 400 million users across the globe. The company has not made an announcement of plans for an IPO to date.
