An Arkansas teen has accused his mother of Facebook harassment.
Little Rock, Arkansas (WiredPRNews.com) – An Arkansas teen has filed a complaint against his mother for alleged Facebook harassment. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Lane New filed the complaint against his mother Denise New after she changed his password and made postings on his account that he alleges are damaging to his reputation.
Denise New is quoted by the AP a stating of the case, “If I’m found guilty on this it is going to be open season” on parents.” New further remarked about her motivation for posting the items, “The things he was posting in Facebook would make any decent parent’s eyes pop out and his jaw drop… He had been warned before about things he had been posting.”
A hearing on the charge is reportedly set for May 12.
