A volcano eruption in Iceland has left some stuck in the Dallas area.
Dallas, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – The eruption of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland has left some travelers stuck in the Dallas area. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, European air travel has been disrupted as a result of the volcanic eruption, which has delayed plans for many from the country in returning home.
Bootsman, a resident of Apeldoorn, Netherlands, is quoted in the report as stating of his stay, “Delta Airline offered me a new flight home on April 25th, so I am sort of in Dallas for another week.”
As noted in the report, the volcanic cloud of dust has significantly impacted European transportation to and from various parts of the country. Many in Dallas are finding different ways to cope with boredom related to being stranded.
