U.S. (WiredPRNews.com) – A lawsuit has reportedly been filed against BP Oil in connection with the recent massive spill that has significantly impacted the fishing industry and caused damage to the Gulf of Mexico shoreline. As reported by Politicol News, Attorney Robert Kennedy Jr. and others filed the suit at the end of April, representing the fishing industry.
The oil spill, which began on April 20, is said to have released thousands of barrels of crude oil per day, with exact estimates varying, but ranging from 5,000 to 100,000 according to some reports. BP has been named liable for the spill by the U.S. Government and will reportedly be held responsible for associated cleanup costs.
