Salt Lake City – The ex-wife of Gary Coleman is reportedly seeking control over his estate. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Shannon Price, who became divorced from the former child star in 2008, filed in court Thursday to be made special administrator, citing she is still Coleman’s common law wife.
Coleman, who is best known for his role in the 1970s-1980s sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes,” died of a brain hemorrhage on May 28, after a fall two days prior. Dion Mial, who was a friend and former manager of the actor, was named executor of his estate in Coleman’s last-known will.
Mial’s attorney, Kent Alderman, is quoted by the AP as stating of the filing, “There is a hearing scheduled for next Monday, but because of the factual intensity of the allegations, I would think you’re going to have to have a full trial and have witnesses testify.”
