Dallas, Texas – Thousands of families in Dallas received food and other personal items from Feed the Children on Saturday. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, the national nonprofit gave vouchers to over 4,000 families, who each received a 25-pound box of food and a 10-pound box of personal supplies.
Tony Sellars, spokesman for Feed the Children, is quoted in the report as stating of providing help to families in need, “There are a lot of people here who are used to having jobs, and now they don’t know where to turn…We’re not here to solve their problems, but we can provide some emergency relief.”
As noted in the report, the nonprofit worked with Operation Care Dallas to classify those families with the greatest need.
