New York – CNN television host Larry King recently announced his show will end after 25 years. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), King stated he would retire from the program after more than two decades on the air, and occasionally work on specials for the network.
King, who has earned a Guinness Book of World Records distinction for hosting the longest running program with the same time slot and on the same network as it began, is quoted by the AP as stating of his plans in a Twitter message, “It’s time to hang up my nightly suspenders.”
CNN U.S. President Jon Klein is quoted in the report as stating of King, “He lured so many people to this new frontier of cable back before anybody understood what it was all about.”
