Dallas, Texas – North Texas Fourth of July fireworks may be overshadowed by scattered storms through the weekend. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, the National Weather Service has predicted a chance of showers through the Fourth, with the outcome influenced by Hurricane Alex, which developed from a storm off of the coast of Mexico.
Amber Elliott, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, is quoted in the report as stating of the predictions, “We’re still looking at Alex, waiting to see what kind of track it takes… We might get a little moisture surge from it. But if it tracks more westerly than northwesterly, we may not get anything.”
As further noted in the report, temperatures are expected to cool down during the period in comparison to other temperatures so far for the month of June.
